6th Graders - Last week we braved the snow and headed down to Eaton Elementary School to do some landscaping! We created four new beds and planted shrubs and mulched. We dug three holes deep/wide enough to bury a few middle schoolers...but we put trees in the holes instead! And we had to move a ginormous mulch pile from the road into the grass. Thanks to Stuart Row who provided the mulch and plants! The 6th grade girls also made 85 goodie bags filled with cookies for the faculty at Eaton!!
7th Graders - Our 7th grade female leaders took their girls over to Summit View Senior Care in Farragut to deliver Christmas cookies and spread a little love!
8th Graders - Our 8th graders got up early and spent 6 hours of their Saturday babysitting and cleaning up after 36 children who came for Parents Day Out! This was a fund-raiser for the Robin's Nest Children's Home in Jamaica - they raised $600! Many of the parents who dropped off their children were commenting on how great it was to have some time off. Log that away for future opportunities to serve families!
The Mix also adopted a family from Loudon County and bought gifts for the mom, dad and three children!
This Christmas season we have successfully given our middle school students opportunities to give their lives away in the name of Jesus! I am so proud of all our students and leaders!
Much Love!
Jon
